Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

Clarix is a client-side application. The following data is stored only in your browser:

• Your display name (if set)
• Your language and platform preferences
• Your prompt history (locally, never sent to our servers)
• Your Claude API key (kept in localStorage only — never transmitted to Clarix)
• Usage counters (prompts used today)
• Pro/Free plan status

2. What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your email address (unless you contact us)
• We do not store your prompts on any Clarix server
• We do not use third-party tracking pixels or analytics by default
• We do not sell your data to any third party
• We do not share your prompts with any AI company

3. Claude API Key

If you choose to enter your Anthropic Claude API key, it is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. It is passed directly from your browser to Anthropic's API — Clarix servers never see it. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser data or visiting your Profile page.

4. Payment Information

If you upgrade to a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment gateway partner (Razorpay). Clarix does not store your card details. Please review Razorpay's privacy policy for information on how they handle payment data.

5. Cookies

Clarix uses localStorage (not cookies) for data storage. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies. Basic session functionality may use sessionStorage.

6. Children's Privacy

Clarix is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

7. Data Deletion

To delete all your Clarix data: open your browser's developer tools → Application → localStorage → clear all entries starting with "clarix_". Alternatively, clear your browser's site data for this domain.

8. Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) 2023

We are committed to compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (India). As a data fiduciary, we process only the minimum data necessary. You have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data.
